OutLine

This invention is a new type of tube and drib chamber made of eco-friendly, nontoxic, PVC-free polyolefin material, which replaces the conventional PVC tube and drip chamber that caused serious issues, such as reduced medicinal effects and accuracy. Through such development, we successfully commercialized a new IV set that is free of endocrine disruptor elution and drug adsorption. This technology relates itself to a new triple-structure flexible and nonadhesive tube, which offers flexibility without the use of plasticizers, ensures nonadsorption through nonpolar property, and uses a cheaper polyolefin material, thereby fundamentally solving the issues of endocrine disruptor elution and drug adsorption.

Application

The single- or multi-layer tube proposed by this invention has good kink resistance, toughness, transparency, nonadsorption of drugs, and others, and is made of PVC-free material. Combined with parts that were injection-molded using the said resin, the said tubes are expected to be widely used for IV sets, transfusion sets, medical liquid container sets, medical catheters, and other medical supplies.

This invention is useful for emergency medical situations that require IV, and resolves endocrine disruptor elution for pregnant women and the elderly, as well as reduced medicinal effect and accuracy caused by drug adsorption.
