SUMMARY

1. Summary


 Purpose of and Need for Research 


 * National atmosphere contamination discharge data is necessary data for establishing atmosphere management policies and important tool for evaluating performance of policies. Accordingly, raising reliability of atmosphere contamination discharge data is very important and urgent task.

 * Based on domestic research result from evaluating CAPSS discharge data, as result of verifying discharge amount of moving contaminants using measurement network data for atmosphere quality of metropolitan area, moving contaminants appear to have calculated discharge amount less by 0.4 ~ 5 times depending on the contaminants, a task of supplementing total amount discharge such as exploring missing source of discharge is necessary.

 * Moreover, as result of analyzing uncertainty of discharge data using DARS (Data Attribute Rating System) methodology shows that uncertainty of measurement for each contaminant was high for PM10 and NH3 compared to other contaminants and uncertainty of measurements for activity coefficient was higher than discharge coefficient, in order to improve discharge data, improving activity coefficient data is urgent.

 * For large classification of sources of discharge, discharge resources of roads and non-roads moving contaminants and scattered dust appeared to have high uncertainty of measurement compared to sources of discharge of fuel combustion. This can be interpreted as that modifying the total amount by exploring missing source of discharge and improving activity coefficient of moving contaminants need to be done as priority to increase accuracy of national discharge data.
